Looking Forward

I know there are a lot of wise quotes that tell you not to look into the future too much and enjoy the present, which I attempt to do every day. But I'm uber excited for next year.

Hopefully I will be moving to Melbourne with a couple of friends and starting to live the life I want, rather than the life I am. Where I live is just so small. And I've been trying to get modelling stuff. And it's been going pretty okay so far. But I'm hoping that once I move to Melbourne I can start meeting people and getting myself out there! Uber excited!

Sad thing is I will be leaving my family behind : ( It's going to be weird not being able to go and visit my mum or dad whenever I want to see them. It's going to be hard, but I think I can do it!

First Poem I've written in a long while

So, over the course of a few years I've been teaching myself how to scream. Recently I've been looking for some form of band with not much luck in this tiny town. Especially considering I have no instrumental experience.

But today, I got a bit angry and vented it into words. Normally I just play GTA and run over as many people as I can, but I thought I'd be a bit more creative.

It is far from perfect. But,  here's my little poem...

Thou Little Empress.

=======
Bow down!
To the Little Empress  of all.
Do not dare to challange or question thee!
For thou shalt be received with scathing glare
and rueful bite.
Pathetic! Dwarfed in her silouette.
Her overflowing appreciation of her.
Is she so beautiful?

Thou art jealous of thee?!
But her woes are more than thou!-
Her heart strings that twang at her so.
Never has thou suffered what she has endured.
Never could thou invisage her sorrow!
How dare thee assume they understand the pain she must lament!

But on her pedestal she rests,
(It tacked with ivory and fur)
Her head deceptively resting in her broken hands,
Her forked toungue hissing behind pity seeking lips.

And although thou offers no offence.
She endevours to claw it from your likeness,
wallowing in her own insecurity,
And rends your back with insults,
Thus etching your name into Lucifer's skull.

And when confronted!
She withdraws, broken and betrayed.
"Forsooth! I did not slight thee!
I would never give offence,
Twas nearly to 'test' the loyalty
and trustworthiness of our friend!
/Pathetic./
I swear it on all that I stand for!
/Lying, cheating, jealousy/
And I am the one who has been slighted!
For they did betray me to you!
But, be assured, I did not mean what was shared,
'twas only a test. t'would never be truth,
by my troth! I swear to this likley tale!"

I want not your 'apology'
It's lace tipped with poison.
Thou, little empress...
Thou. Little. Empress.
Your words are polluted.
Your words are the rotting cadaver,
Stinking in the peripherals of my existence.
I loathe and detest thee.
For thou art a snake, slithering amongst the branches.
Nay, a snake with it's poisoned bite, and biblical evil is a compliment to thee.
Thou art thee. Thou Little Empress.
Twisted and pathetic

First Modelling Shoot!

Yay! I had my first modelling shoot with Black Sunshine Photography!

You can check out the shoot and Cass' other stuff on Facebook!

For a beginner model, she was very, very helpful! She let us dress up the way we wanted and helped us with poses and what not. Over all it was a really good shoot and I'm really happy with the photos!

I had an acquaintance last year enter the Miss Alternative Australia Pageant and I followed her progress and the general progress of the pageant with much enthusiasm. Anyway, this year is round two! And with more exposure it's destined to be more exciting!

Last year she was the only contestant from my state, this year there are atleast 8. Including myself. So, I'm going to be that person and ask for votes on the page!

Basically if you're in the top 6 you'll go into the semi-finals for the state where you'll be judged! After that it's off to compete with the rest of the nation!

I'm really excited, also I have another friend on there! Her name is Jess! She's an awesome gal and you should vote for her too!

Obviously, only vote for us if you like our stuff :D

Thanks for reading!

Dinnnneeeeeeeeeeeer

Dinner tonight was most exciting! Well, I hadn't really eaten anything all day.
I made a really quick and healthy dish...

Can't remember the name of it, but it's Japanese...

This recipe I got off a friend, most of it was from memory. And it turned out amazingly and was most yummy yum!

Ingredients:
500g Chicken Breast, diced roughly
1 onion, diced roughly
3 Bok Choy (I know bok choy isn't Japanese, but I wanted some green)
A hand full of baby spinach
Shitake Mushrooms
Grated ginger (to taste)
Soy sauce (to taste)
400-600ml boiling water (depending on desired consistency)
Chicken stock 1-2 tsp
1-2 eggs (depending on desired consistency

Udon/Soba noodles OR Rice

Method
Heat oil in a pan
Chop the onion and slice the mushrooms, add to heated oil, stir until onion starts to brown
Add chicken stock to water and mix until dissolved, then add water to pan
Add ginger
Add chicken
Whisk eggs, clear a space in pan, add egg wait for egg to cook a little bit then mix through.
Turn to medium heat, allow to simmer and thicken until desired consistency.
Cook rice
Serve

YUM!

I really like having it as more of a noodle soup dish, so I left a lot of liquid in mine, if you want it as more of a creamy dish, add more egg and leave it to simmer for longer.

Enjoy!

Took about 30-40 minutes all up.

Vampire Masquerade: Bloodlines Make up

For Coven last week I decided to do a messy, dark, corpse-paint-esque look. Which turned out awesomely!

But the pictures from Coven weren't that great and I wanted some kind of record of the make up, so I've made a tutorial! Enjoy! :D

BUT FIRST! Pictures -

And here's the tutorial... I had Billy Idol's Rebel Yell and Orgy's Blue Monday. But apparently I'm not allowed to use them so audio has been disabled. Feel free to play music whilst watching the video. Otherwise... enjoy :)

Medusa Makeup Brushes

Vanity shot!

So! My new brushes arrived! I used them to create the make up you see in this picture. Well... that's not entirely true, I used them on my left eye. The other eye was from what was left from today using my other brushes. And I have to say (as much as I dislike that phrase) these are really good brushes!

I bought a 6 pack from EBay that includes a
Fluff Shadow,
Eye Contour,
Shadow,
Angle Eyeliner,
Eyeliner
and Smudge
All for $35. Which I think is damn good. Especially for these brushes. I highly recommend them!

Here's a few close ups of the make up. I thought it was a cyber goth kinda look.

The Weekend Just Past

Well, my skirt is somewhat finished, but I'm not entirely happy with it. It needs MOAR! So it'll take a little bit before I reveal it to the world!

On a different note:- Our local and only Goth nightclub happened over the weekend. (I live in a small state, hit 500 000 people a few years back in the whole of the state. Population milestone!) The club is called Coven, here's the website http://www.covenclub.com/ I'm not sure how frequently it's updated... ? So, a group of my friends whether Goth or Goth compatible came over and I got to decorate them! Here are some photos of makeups and things!

I've only really started experimenting with makeup over the past year, before that it was just smokey eyes... But I think I'm getting better!

 Gabriel- Goth compatible :D

 And the lovely Jess.

I'll get photos of me up when the photographer who was there posts them. I got a bit merry and loved on the camera, so there should be some fun ones!

Skirt Creations!

So, I'm going to attempt to make myself a kind of ragdoll-like skirt! I saw one on a website that was subtle that I liked the look of. It cost about $50 but I have some tulle left over from when I made another costume and I thought I'd use that to make this. And it'd only cost me $20ish. So we'll see how it goes. I'll post a tutorial when I make it. Going out to buy supplies today or tomorrow, I'll have to make it in a few days, though because I'm pretty booked up!

Here's the other skirt that I made, it's just a basic tulle tutu. I was planning to do more with it, but I lack a sewing machine! Or the funds to buy one! Clothes making on a budget is frustrating >.< Oh- I'm also useless at sewing... so... :/

This is my boyfriend trying it on for himself....

And this was from a party we had where I was wearing it- It's the best photo I have with it... Sorry it's not full length!

Maria Jose Cristerna inspired makeup

So, I was browsing the interwebs, and I don't know how I came across her, but I did.

Her being Maria Jose Cristerna ...

*Photo from Google Images*
She looks amazing! And to have the courage to look the way she does every single day! I find it hard sometimes to stand out from the crowd even the slightest bit some days, let alone this much!

SO! After seeing her and being inspired I pulled out my brushes and experimented with some makeup...

And I made a video!
Enjoy!

First Blog!

Yay, this is my first blog. I don't expect anyone to ever read this, but it's fun keeping records of things for me so I can look back in years and /facepalm at myself :)

I'm hoping to get into 'alternative' modelling and was planning on using this as a documentation of how it goes. If it goes.

:/
